The Opportunity:
Based in Ballarat, Victoria, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
This role combines various elements of administration and customer service, including:
- Creating and sending accurate invoices to customers for services provided.
- Banking, receipt and allocate payments to correct accounts.
- Follow up on overdue invoices.
- Data validation, Ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts by comparing them with internal records and bank statements.
- Responding to customer inquiries and resolving disputes.
- Assessing the creditworthiness of customers, applying credit limits, and managing credit terms.
- Generating reports on outstanding receivables, payment trends, and other key metrics.
- Manage Unallocated Payments.
- Manage reconciliation of Customer Accounts.
- Resolve Customer queries within a reasonable timeframe.
- Manage delinquent accounts through the Dunning Process (letters of demand), Collection calls & referrals to external Debt Collectors.
- Managing refund processes.
While your previous experience may have been in a different industry, to be successful, you must:
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with key clients.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and be a clear communicator.
- Handle client queries and resolve issues, escalating to the Team Leader as required.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can utilise your highly developed multi-tasking and prioritisation skills.
- Possess strong numerical literacy, with the ability to analyse data.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve and take initiative.
- Experience in the transport industry would be desirable but is not essential.
