The Company:This wonderful Association has been serving their industry for over 20 years by providing exceptional services to their members and clients. This Association specialises in the execution of a world-renowned exhibition for their industry that attracts both domestic and international exhibitors, alongside other smaller events and programs. They are looking for an Events Coordinator to join their team.
Position Terms:
- Immediately Available Full-Time Role
- Working 3-4 days a week in the office
- Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 plus super
The Event Coordinator role will report to the Event Manager and be responsible for assisting with the coordination of the seminar/conference program, the awards ceremony, and the exhibition.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Coordinating event logistics.
- Developing, updating and maintaining a speaker prospect list.
- Managing speaker requirements, including arranging travel and accommodation.
- Liaising with and coordinate seminar committees.
- Managing event registrations.
- Providing marketing material to the marketing team to assist with the marketing of events.
- Assisting with identifying and securing sponsorship and partnership opportunities in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.
- Developing and distributing post-seminar surveys, seminar slides and certificates of attendance
- Creating the awards platforms for receiving and judging applications.
- Working closely with the Event Manager to execute the gala dinner and awards ceremony.
- Sourcing and securing suppliers, vendors and entertainment for events.
- Creating run sheets and event documentation.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate programs and activities targeted at school students to encourage them to learn about the industry.
The successful candidate will have experience working as an Events Assistant or Event Coordinator, ideally within an Association. Strong organisational and time management skills are essential for this role. Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills are also essential.
