LiSEC Technician - Multisite OperationsLocation : Melbourne, VIC
About the Role
A leading Australian manufacturer in the glass processing sector is seeking an experienced LiSEC Technician to support operations across multiple sites. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of highly specialised LiSEC equipment .
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) , and the ability to clearly communicate findings. In addition to hands-on technical capabilities, proficiency in PLC programming would be viewed favourably, with experience in AutoFab considered highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding on LiSEC machinery across multiple Australian sites, involving regular interstate travel.
- Exposure to LiSEC software platforms and interfaces is highly desirable.
- Lead RCA processes to investigate and eliminate recurring failures.
- Assist in training of engineering staff in fault finding and improving performance on LiSEC machines.
- Prepare and deliver structured reports on fault analysis and resolution outcomes.
- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance schedules in line with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to enhance machinery uptime and overall plant efficiency.
- Ensure work is compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives in automation and process optimisation.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience with LiSEC machinery and at least 5 years in the glass processing industry .
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Automation, or Mechatronics) .
- Experience in PLC programming desirable.
- Analytical approach to problem-solving with strong RCA capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to compile and present technical findings to executive stakeholders.
- Experience working with IT/Networking, ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and/or CMMS software (e.g. MEX).
- Familiarity with AutoFab is advantageous.
- Must be flexible to work across multiple sites as required.
