About The Opportunity
Join our Waste team as a Waste Resource and Recovery Officer. You'll be at the forefront of developing and managing innovative community waste minimisation and litter prevention education programs.
You will make an impact by
Developing and managing comprehensive community waste minimisation, resource recovery and litter prevention education programs. Manage waste related projects and actions as defined by Council’s Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy. Assisting with the supervision and monitoring contracts for waste education, collection and disposal services. Creating and implementing promotional and educational activities for waste services. Collaborating with state government and stakeholders to align with Recycling Victoria Policy.
What You Will Bring
Strong project management skills with experience in community education programs. Knowledge of waste collection, disposal, recycling and waste minimisation methods and relevant legislation applicable to these activities. Demonstrated skills, qualifications and experience in a relevant waste, environmental or education field. Excellent communication skills for developing educational materials and liaising with stakeholders. Ability to manage contracts and oversee service delivery. Strong relationship-building skills with community and stakeholder groups
