Description:
We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, trusty and motivated bookkeeper / accounts officer to work 2-3 days per week in our busy family owned garden supplies business on the Mornington Peninsula.
Times are negotiable to fit around school hours if needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to -
Accounts payable

Monitoring emails and entering invoice

Processing of payments
-
Maintaining suppliers records
-
Reconciling monthly balances with vendors statements.
Accounts receivable
-
Preparing invoices and end of month statements.

Bank reconciliations.
-
Maintain general ledgers
-
BAS statements
-
GST
-
Process supplier payments
-
Resolving any discrepancy
Payroll
-
Assist in managing, entering and calculating all data for fortnightly payroll for approx. 30 people using MYOB account right software .

Superannuation
-
WorkCover and Insurances
-
Annual leave/sick leave and Long service leave.
To be successful as the bookkeeper / accounts officer, you should be outgoing, personable, and have a high attention to detail. While garden supplies experience would be great, we are more focused on the right candidate to fulfil the required position.
Other duties that will be required from time to time are: -

Deal directly with customers or suppliers either by telephone, electronically or face to face

Respond promptly to customer inquiries

Provide pricing and delivery information

Process orders, forms, and requests

Direct requests and unresolved issues to the general manager

Maintain customers' accounts and databases

Keep records of customer interactions and transactions

Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
