Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Junior Medical Staff to join the Endoscopy team.
About Northern Health:
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Endoscopy Research Fellow to join the team at Northern Health.
This role requires the Endoscopy Fellow to provide high quality clinical care for patients requiring endoscopy procedures including endoscopic emergencies while furthering learning in advanced endoscopy procedures and techniques including ERCP and EUS. They will participate in ward consultations, the on-call service, quality improvement processes and undertake a substantial research project(s) as well as backfill of some vacant endoscopy lists.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with AHPRA
- Must have satisfactorily completed at least five years of postgraduate hospital experience in an Australian, New Zealand (or recognised equivalent hospital, including at least two years in gastroenterology)
- Preferably able to independently perform gastroscopy and colonoscopy with accreditation by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition in Training for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE).
- Must be holder of a relevant employment visa or be eligible for applying for a relevant employment visa, if not an Australian resident.
