Description:
As the Health Sector Manager you will be responsible for leading the strategy, execution and life cycle management of health related national contracts and tenders (Australia and New Zealand). This role will oversee a team responsible for managing existing agreements and developing new opportunities across government, NDIS, private health bodies and other healthcare sectors.
The Position plays a critical role in aligning key partnerships with Resmed's business objectives to drive exceptional service and commercial outcomes.

Develop and implement strategic plans to manage current public health sector agreements and explore new growth opportunities.

Curate tailored proposals, pricing and solutions aligned to clinical and commercial value.

Identify, evaluate, and pursue partnerships within the Health Sector.

Monitor sector trends, policy changes and funding cycles to inform proactive business development efforts.

Lead and manage a team of professionals assigned to key focus areas.

Provide guidance, mentorship and oversight to ensure team members deliver on portfolio objectives.

Align team structure and resources with evolving strategic priorities and ensuring training and competency benchmarks are met for commercial teams.

Oversee the life cycle of contracts, working with a contracts administrator to ensure everything from negotiation to performance and renewal are fully supported.

Build and maintain strong relationships with health sector partners and internal business units.

Represent Resmed in external forums, meetings and negotiation relevant to public sector and corporate strategy.

Collaborate with internal departments including the commercial team, legal, finance, contract administration, marketing to support your business stream.
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required:
-
A bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, economics or appropriate health related field.

+5 years’ experience in strategic management, business development, account management, or stakeholder engagement preferably in the Australian and/or New Zealand healthcare sector.

Have an excellent working knowledge of the AU and/or NZ public and private health industries.

Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.

The ability to manage cross functional teams utilising project management principles.

Ability to influence, negotiate and manage internal and external stakeholders’ expectations and priorities.
Preferred:
-
Knowledge of compliance requirements related to legislation, regulations, procurement policies and procedures related to contracts.

Proven ability to build and manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Experience in high stakes contract negotiations.

Working experience with BI solutions such as Cognos, Tableau and SiSense.
