As a Senior Contracts Officer in our Defence and Maritime team based in Sydney, you'll help deliver critical services to the Australian Government. This role supports the Contracts Specialist – Maritime and engages closely with operations and engineering teams to manage complex contract deliverables, ensure compliance, and contribute to commercial and growth strategies. You’ll play a key part in strengthening our customer relationships and ensuring efficient contract operations.
As a Senior Contracts Officer in the Defence and Maritime team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Supporting contract and subcontract management to ensure compliance
- Interpreting and advising on contract terms for internal stakeholders
- Drafting and negotiating contract change proposals and project documentation
- Designing process improvements for commercial and contract operations
- Providing commercial input on proposals, deliverables, and reporting
- Managing correspondence, systems, and financial delegations in line with policy

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- A degree in law, business, finance or a related field
- 3–5 years of contract management or commercial experience
- Experience in Defence, Maritime or engineering sectors (desirable)
- Strong ability to interpret complex documents and communicate clearly
- Excellent stakeholder collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work independently
