We’re now seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Quality – Product Innovation, Lifecycle, Release to help shape the future of our quality function.
In this key leadership role, you will report to the Senior Director, Regulatory, Quality and Pharmacovigilance and lead and inspire a dedicated team of 15 (with 3 direct reports) responsible for quality across the entire product lifecycle—from innovation and development, through to product release at our packaging and distribution facilities.
This is more than a compliance role – it is about leading change, uplifting quality capability, and embedding a culture of excellence and agility in how we deliver products to market. As such, you will be required to work 4 days from our Warriewood office (with the team) and 1 day from home to make a real difference.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the quality strategy for product innovation, lifecycle and release, aligned with Blackmores’ growth plans and regulatory standards.
- Team Development : Drive a performance-led, people-first culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Quality Governance : Oversee the implementation of robust processes, systems and quality standards. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including TGA and global Health Authority standards.
- Lifecycle & Innovation Support : Partner with Product Development, Regulatory Affairs and Group Operations to ensure quality is built into every stage of product design, tech transfer, and market readiness.
- Risk & Issue Management : Proactively identify and mitigate quality risks across the supply chain and product lifecycle. Champion structured problem solving and issue resolution.
- Process Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives and system optimisation. Influence cross-functional stakeholders to embed fit-for-purpose, scalable quality systems and tools.
Who we’re looking for:
- A strategic and inspiring quality leader with 10+ years’ experience in regulated environments (Ideally from nutraceuticals, pharmaceutical or healthcare)
- Formal qualifications in Quality Assurance, Product Management or a related discipline
- Deep knowledge of TGA regulations , quality management systems and product release requirements
- Demonstrated success in leading cultural transformation and building high-performing, agile teams
- A background in manufacturing or packaging environments is highly desirable
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills—to influence and communicate with clarity, especially when navigating complexity and change
