The Employer: Our client runs a 3000-ha farming operation cultivating winter cereals and summer crops. Approximately half the farm is irrigated predominantly by lateral irrigation. The Role: The position involves a variety of general farm work. Key responsibilities include operating air seeders for spreading urea, lime, and gypsum, as well as chaser bin operations. The successful candidate will also be tasked with carting grain back to on-farm storage and transporting grain to receivable points. Additionally, the role includes assisting with the management of irrigation systems and lateral irrigators.
The Ideal Candidate: The role is varied and offers the opportunity for the right applicant to expand their skill set and be a valuable support role to the management team. Successful applicants will possess:
- a solid can-do attitude,
- be a forward thinker,
- have some previous farmhand experience,
- be punctual and willing to learn,
- mechanical knowledge and machinery operation skills.
Located just 10 kilometres north of Tocumwal on the Newell Highway and 10 kilometres south of Finley, the position offers excellent access to local amenities, including a primary and high school bus stop at the front gate.
