Position Description
The Logistics Manager/Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the transportation, storage, and delivery of goods and materials. They will coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure that materials are counted and signed off with the correct quantities for each block.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate transportation of goods and materialsTrack and manage inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of goods and materialsDevelop and implement logistics strategies to minimize costs and improve efficiencyWork closely with suppliers and customers to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve any issues that ariseMonitor compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to safety and environmental concernsAnalyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvementsDevelop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customersManage a team of logistics personnel, providing leadership and direction to ensure that all logistics operations are running smoothlyProvide regular reports to senior management on logistics performance, highlighting areas for improvement and making recommendations for changes
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in a construction based environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholdersKnowledge of logistics software and systems that maybe usedFamiliarity with regulatory requirements related to logistics, including safety and environmental concernsDemonstrated ability to manage a team and provide leadership and direction to ensure that logistics operations are running smoothlyAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFlexibility to work outside of normal business hours as neededTelehandler TicketForklift LicenceExperience with Solar Farms
