As a Key Member Of The Teaching And Delivery Team, You Will Contribute To Developing And Delivering Quality Learning Services To a Wide Range Of Clients Through
Outcome focused vocational education and training (VET) programs; Linking with industry, schools, universities, other TAFE and VET providers; Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies; Working in an environment of change and continuous improvement; and Making Great Happen!
TAFE Queensland regularly has vacancies (short and long term) for educators in various qualification delivery areas. This talent pool may be open for up to 6 months and is for opportunities as they become available.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
An undergraduate degree of at least three (3) years duration awarded by an Australian university or tertiary institution, or its onshore or overseas equivalent
AND
At least 100 hours teaching English as a Second Language OR Adult Literacy/Numeracy in the last three (3) years; OR A specialist Adult Literacy qualification; OR A recognised specialist TESOL qualification. Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
Note : Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Experience working in remote and/or First Nations communities, with a demonstrated understanding of cultural protocols and community engagement approaches. Cultural competence and sensitivity, including the ability to build trust and respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples Ability to contextualise LLND content to suit the everyday realities, languages, and priorities of participants in remote settings. Digital literacy and confidence with low-tech and no-tech delivery methods, including blended or mobile learning models adapted for low-connectivity areas.
