Your Opportunity:The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) will provide leadership and oversight across individual campuses for both in and out of hours sexual assault services. The role shapes interagency and multidisciplinary clinical and corporate governance; and provides the coordination of service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.This position has operational and professional responsibility at each individual campus, within the Sexual Assault Response Team.Responsible and accountable for cost centre management in accordance with WBHHS delegations.Responsible for portfolios and other duties as delegated and or directed, in the context of forensic and sexual assault nursing.
What we're looking for:Demonstrated expert, specialised and comprehensive knowledge of contemporary nursing practice within Forensic Sexual Assault ExaminationDemonstrated ability to participate directly or indirectly in the delivery of clinical care to individuals/groups within the Forensic Sexual Assault Examination service.Demonstrated ongoing professional development of self and others and the facilitation of an environment that encourages life long learning, mentoring and support for colleagues.Demonstrated high level management and organisational skills including advanced analytical and problem solving skills, professional engagement in change management, risk management skills, information management tools and systems, human and resource management skills, including negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment with internal and external stakeholders while actively contributing to the clinical environment.Demonstrated sound knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards in relation to all area’s pertaining to the consultancy of Forensic Sexual Assault ExaminationDemonstrated ability to utilise data and information to ensure that the service is organised for safety and measures are in place to capture the standard of service delivery.Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality business processes and evidence-informed practices, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to these improvements including nursing research.
Preferred Qualifications:Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program as a Registered Nurse and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.Possession of context-specific postgraduate qualification in nursing is highly desirable.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $82,106 p.a., comprising salary rates $66.86 - $72.59 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hours p.f.)
