About the role
This role will be responsible for preparing monthly accounts for the business across Australia and New Zealand, from managing the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable functions to month end accounts and reporting. You will also assist with all other aspects of the finance function, including payroll, managing supplier and customer rebates, maintaining the finance systems, financial analysis on business performance and work with the CFO and other teams on special projects and improvement initiatives as the business continues to grow and expand into new markets. You will also have a focus on stock across all businesses, including analysis of costs, pricing and margins, ensuring optimum levels are maintained, identifying excess stock or short dated products and stocktake supervision.
A little bit about you
You are a qualified accountant with 4+ years' experience in a similar commercial role. You have strong technical accounting and excel skills, an ability to understand, analyse and explain financial data and an eye for detail. You have experience in using Xero and integrated AP systems, and an understanding of stock management.
You possess excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills. While you enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to a team, you also pride yourself on being self-motivated to achieve your goals. You can take initiative and identify the next opportunity before it exists. You’re an organised multi-tasker who loves to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative and growing environment.
It would be an advantage if you have worked with an online business or in the healthcare space.
