About The Positions
We are looking to select several permanent employees to join our small team who have the skills, attitude, drive and passion to help us continue to succeed to achieve in a Global market.
An opportunity exists for a Coal Quality Tester to work on a full-time basis at our Laboratory Site in Emerald and work locally. If you have a drive to produce quality results and a strong team spirit, we would like to hear from you. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be involved in aspects of Quality, Turnaround Time, Client Service and Productivity.
The Coal Quality Tester position is an entry-level, position with the prospect of a long-term role for the right person.
Day to Day -
Collection and Sample receipt of Coal samples Performing a range of preparation and analytical tests Manual handling of buckets and drums Sample Preparation Data Entry Checking and validating all results Maintaining laboratory equipment: Driving vehicle to collect and deliver samples
Skills And Attributes
A strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork Attention to detail Good Organisation and Communication Skills Reliable and Trustworthy Science Diploma or Degree would be highly regarded Valid Manual Drivers’ License Ability to work rotating shifts, day and afternoons.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or be able to obtain an appropriate valid visa to live and work in Australia
As part of the selection process, a pre-employment medical exam is required, including a drug and alcohol assessment.
