THE ROLE

Reporting to the Wellness & Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for helping to keep our beautiful Scape CBD properties clean and safe. An average day will involve you cleaning public areas (including common rooms, lounges, theatre, outdoor terraces, gym and laundry, corridors and stairwells), connecting with residents and other team members as well as planning other activities to increase the cleanliness and aesthetics of the building. You may also assist with weekly room cleaning and bed-making for residents.

Shifts for this role will be mainly weekday – Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm, weekends if required.

Working closely with the Wellness and Hygiene Manager, this is a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor role that’ll have you working closely with your team to maintain and build a high standard.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily cleaning and presentation of public areas including common areas, bathrooms, lounges, theatre, meeting rooms, reception, gym, laundry, and corridors
  • Being fully conversant with health and safety obligations
  • Overseeing cleaning departure and stayover apartments
  • Assist the Manager on Stock ordering, stock control, chemical handling and ordering
  • Managing the housekeeping store
  • Assist with Staff rostering, training and associated admin duties

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are seeking an engaging and driven Housekeeping Supervisor to join a growing team. In addition, the Housekeeping Supervisor will have the following skills and experience:

  • Fully conversant with WH&S best practice
  • Experience in a housekeeping department
  • Hands-on with the ability to assist the team with room cleaning, public area cleaning, and room checks/audits.
  • Immaculate personal presentation
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • An outgoing and confident personality
  • Ability to work with and relate to young adults while also maintaining professional and cultural sensitivity and boundaries
