The Role
As the Training Coordinator at our Perth site of Patties Food Group, you will lead, coordinate and support the development and delivery of effective learning and development programs for the site. This is a role that you can own & sink your teeth into, bring your own creative flare, ideas and be the driver the training activities for the site.
Working with a very collaborative and supportive team, we can also assure you of having some fun along the way! Reporting to the Human Resources Manager - Perth, your main duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Develop and facilitate relevant “in-house” training sessions / programs.
- Develop and maintain the skills matrix for the production department and other functions as required.
- Utilize competency requirements identified through skills audits and captured within the skills matrix
- Conduct regular training needs analysis and assessments
- Recommend targeted on-the-job and other relevant training programs
- Lead and coordinate the online site safety induction program
- Create & ensure production, logistics & maintenance SOP’s are kept up to date and reviewed regularly
- Review and revitalise existing learning and development activities, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Own and lead the Compliance and Technical training program for Perth in conjunction with key stakeholders.
- Develop an annual calendar based on competency/skills matrix; facilitate the review and update of existing OTJ training
- Coordinate training activities and report on training requirements/completions and expenditure/financials.
- Other ad hoc duties as per directed.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience as a Trainer or Training Coordinator in a manufacturing or operational environment, ideally within the FMCG space as well as;
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment (preferred, but not essential)
- Have excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English
- Strong relationship developing focus, and be able to build and maintain connections whilst working with people from diverse backgrounds
- High level of attention to detail and ability to proactively plan
- Be able to adapt and be flexible to work with line trainers across all shifts
- Ability to problem solve to make informed decisions
- Be a true team player and contribute to team collaboration and trust
- Be resourceful and creative when building and developing training programs
- Energetic, self-motivated and driven to get results
