About The Role
We're looking for a skilled and driven Service Diesel Fitter/Mechanic to become a part of our team.
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you'll play a key role within KRSP's operations, helping us thrive by maintaining the dependable operation of vital infrastructure in remote communities. Your work will involve both routine preventative maintenance and responding to unexpected breakdowns affecting crucial systems. These systems include power generation and water assets.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role
Conduct scheduled maintenance on diesel generators within remote power stations Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimise breakdowns and extend asset lifespan Diagnose and troubleshoot faults and failures, identifying and resolving issues efficiently Respond to unplanned maintenance and repairs Maintain accurate and complete service records Assist with the servicing and maintenance of water, water treatment and wastewater service assets
Location
This position involves a drive-in/drive-out roster from Broome to remote Kimberley communities. Kimberley residents are strongly encouraged to apply, as are those willing to relocate to the region. Fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) options are available for applicants residing outside the Kimberley.
Our typical roster involves 18 days on followed by 12 days off. Given the nature and location of our work, we need candidates who are flexible with these roster cycles.
What You Will Need
An ability to demonstrate a high work ethic, integrity, and safe work practices together with a positive mindset.
Essential Criteria
Mechanical trade qualification (Diesel Fitter) preferred, or considerable experience as an Automotive Mechanic Minimum 3 years post trade experience Advanced fault finding and diagnostic ability Hold at least a current LR class driver’s licence Effective verbal and written communication skills with an adaptability to different audiences Capacity to work in remote location, inclusive of driving on remote unsealed roads Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a small team
Desirable criteria:
Medium to Heavy Rigid (MR/HR) driver’s license First aid, including CPR and LVR
