Gunalda State School is located 29kms north of Gympie. We are a small school community with 37 students from Prep to Year 6.Gunalda State School is seeking a Teacher Aide to work on a part-time basis at 0.66 FTE and 50 hours per fortnight, for a temporary basis from 19 May 2025 to 27 June 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
As the Teacher Aide you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
The Teacher Aide reports to the Principal or nominated delegate as appropriate. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the Principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school. When supporting students with specific health procedures, a Teacher Aide will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse or medical practitioner.
You will support students with special needs, helping with tasks like assisting with meals, dressing, or toileting. You will also help with science, cooking, and textile classes, preparing and storing materials.
Other duties include laundry, taking care of school equipment, and helping students find reference materials. You may also assist teachers in creating learning materials for literacy and numeracy, working with individual students or small groups, and using computers to help students learn.
