We are seeking a Web Engineering SME who thrives in a hands-on technical role and is passionate about building and maintaining high-performing, scalable web platforms. This is a unique opportunity to shape digital experiences end-to-end — from architecture to delivery — while leading a talented team of engineers.
Job Description
So, what’s the job?
- You’ll be leading the technical direction of web architecture, development, and platform operations.
- You’ll be the expert and go-to person for Digital web application engineering.
- You’ll be hands-on — contributing code, solving complex technical problems, and setting engineering standards.
- You’ll be maintaining and improving the reliability, performance, and security of our web platform.
- You’ll mentor the engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, DevOps, and QA to deliver seamless user experiences.
And what are we looking for?
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience.
- 7+ years of web development experience, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and frontend frameworks like React.
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python,
- Proven track record maintaining production platforms and working with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong communicator who can align technical solutions with business outcomes.
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and observability tools.
- Exposure to regulated environments or complex enterprise systems.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience
