About the opportunity
InsideOut is Australia’s national institute for research, translation and clinical excellence in eating disorders with global research partnerships. We aim to transform the prevention, early intervention and treatment landscape for people with eating disorders in Australia, and ultimately find a cure. InsideOut conducts innovative, high-quality and impactful research and translation including world-first intervention trials.
InsideOut Institute's National Programs portfolio covers a number of projects that are funded by the Commonwealth and/or philanthropy including the' Upskilling the Mental Health Workforce in Evidence-Based Eating Disorder Interventions' project.
As the Project Manager you will oversee the InsideOut Upskilling project, ensuring the successful delivery of training, digital interventions, and clinical capacity-building initiatives. This will include managing project milestones, liaising with internal and external stakeholders—including headspace national, headspace centres nationally, Medicare Mental Health services, and Primary Health Networks (PHNs) across Australia-and ensuring adherence to governance, reporting, and financial requirements.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
Manage Project Oversight & Delivery including:

leading the planning, execution, and evaluation of the Upskilling Project within defined scope, budget, and timeframes.

managing overall project organisation, including defining roles, responsibilities, and performance indicators for project staff where necessary.
-
ensuring project processes and operating models support project plans and governance structures.
-
managing project activities and deliverables within budget and agreed time frames, making necessary adjustments as needed.
-
managing project risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies.
-
ensuring compliance with University of Sydney, InsideOut Institute, and Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) governance frameworks.
Manage Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration including:
-
fostering strong working relationships with headspace, Medicare Mental Health services, PHNs, state mental health services and other key stakeholders
-
working closely with clinical, research and digital streams to coordinate the implementation and evaluation of digital interventions and online upskilling activities.
-
developing and implementing communication strategies to support engagement, uptake, and sustainability of the program.
Oversee (and deliver where appropriate) workforce development activities including rollout of eLearnings, clinician webinars, drop-in sessions and centre in-services, for relevant mental health professionals nationally.
Monitor Data Management, Evaluation & Reporting using performance indicators (e.g., number of trained professionals, number of referrals).
Ensure Financial & Operational Management of the project including monitoring expenditure.
About you
-
Honours degree in Public Health, Project Management, or other relevant fields (Masters desirable)

previous project management experience in a complex tertiary or health environment. National project management experience would be highly regarded

experience in the primary heath/mental health system or sector and experience implementing mental health projects nationally would be highly regarded
-
demonstrated stakeholder management skills with ability to create and maintain long-term professional relationships
-
strong attention to detail
-
sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills with previous experience working with multiple project leaders and researchers. Experience working in or engaging with stakeholders in the area of the Primary Health Network and/or entities such as headspace and Medicare Mental Health services would be highly regarded

extensive experience using project management tools and software
-
discretion and high levels of tact, including risk management and policy-driven work practices.
