About the role
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for Registered or Clinical Midwifes with a genuine interest in Maternal Fetal Medicine to join our leave cover pool (12 months ) and further develop their skills and knowledge in the care of women with complex maternal and/or fetal conditions.
The role of the MFM Midwifes will enable you to grow professionally and become part of a highly skilled perinatal multi-disciplinary team. It encompasses being responsible for the provision of antenatal case management to women with complex fetal anomalies as well as women who have been referred for tertiary assessment/management who require ongoing care at the Mater. It also involves assisting with invasive procedures, fetal therapy, external cephalic version (ECVs) and be involved in multi-disciplinary counselling.
Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
About you
To be successful in your application, you will have:
- Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
- Considerable post-graduate midwifery experience
- Advanced clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing/midwifery practice
- Effective communication and clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care within the multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to the continuous improvement of health care and midwifery practice, and to continuing professional development of self and others
