Role description:

Due to our strong pipeline of work in highway engineering, we are seeking expressions of interest from skilled Senior Highways Engineer to join our Sydney based team to work on a range of projects including those in NSW, Australia and offshore.

Role accountabilities:

• Working in collaboration with other design teams and disciplines on major infrastructure projects to ensure the integrity and quality of the overall design;
• Assisting in the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, time-frame and quality targets, meeting or exceeding client expectations;
• Providing technical advice to project team members whilst building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
• Assisting the Principals and Team Leads in mentoring and supporting junior staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 6+ years’ design experience with highways and transportation projects - Transport for NSW road project experience is highly advantageous;
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and be working towards achieving CPEng status;
• Sound knowledge and experience working with local design standards including Austroads Guide to Road Design, TfNSW Supplements to AGRD and application of NSW standards;
• Familiar with AutoCAD with use of road design software (12D, OpenRoads, etc.) considered advantageous but not mandatory;
• Experience of working in multi discipline design and/or project teams; and
• Demonstrated experience of working independently and the ability to work in a complex challenging environment.
