About the opportunity:
Our organisation is seeking a dynamic and values-driven General Manager, Mental Health, Family Violence & Community programs reporting into our COO you will play a key part in building upon our established successes and lead the continued expansion of high-quality, culturally safe, innovative, and sustainable services.
As a key member of the Executive Team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a committed and capable team, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and change-embracing culture. You’ll champion the development of sector-leading mental health services, guide the growth of our family violence programs, and skillfully navigate the evolving public policy landscape to secure impactful outcomes for the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic and operational performance of Mental Health, Family Violence & Outreach programs.
- Establish and grow effective stakeholder relationships, partnerships, and funding streams.
- Drive innovation through new models of care, fee-for-service opportunities, and digital solutions.
- Implement evidence-based frameworks for psychosocial recovery and therapeutic interventions.
- Oversee service compliance with government and funding body requirements.
- Support the governance and leadership of the Orange Door Network and Men’s Behaviour Change programs.
- Deliver on financial and performance targets while enhancing service user engagement and outcomes.
You are an experienced executive with a strong background in mental health and/or family violence service delivery. You bring:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Health Administration, Mental Health, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years senior leadership experience in mental health, family violence, or a related sector.
- Proven ability to implement strategic change, secure funding, and develop sustainable services.
- A clinical background in mental health and/or family violence practice (highly desirable).
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, people leadership, and performance management skills.
