Nightclub Manager – The Gatsby

Located in the heart of Fortitude Valley, The Gatsby is Brisbane’s premier late-night venue—where timeless glamour meets modern nightlife. Renowned for its luxurious setting, elevated bottle service, and high-end entertainment, The Gatsby is part of the Artesian Hospitality group—one of Queensland’s leading hospitality operators with a portfolio of iconic venues across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nightclub Manager to lead the nightly operations of The Gatsby. You’ll be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance, maintaining venue standards, and delivering an exceptional guest experience across our bar, function areas, entertainment, and late-night trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of nightclub operations, including bar, floor, host, and security teams
- Manage entertainment schedules and execution of events and functions
- Ensure compliance with RSA, liquor licensing, and crowd control regulations
- Monitor customer service, venue presentation, and guest safety
- Coordinate staffing, rostering, stock control, and venue reporting
- Work collaboratively with Artesian Hospitality’s bookings and marketing teams
- Uphold and drive a high-performance, customer-first team culture
The requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a nightclub, bar, or late-night venue management role
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in hospitality or business management
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- In-depth understanding of QLD liquor licensing and venue compliance
- RSA and RMLV certification
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Well-presented, proactive, and solutions-focused under pressure
