The Opportunity

This is a key front-line role, responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the depots, including operational delivery and compliance, managing systems, liaising with our drivers, rostering and reporting. We are currently accepting expressions of interest for anticipated future growth.

  • Position located in Townsville
  • Assisting Managers to implement business plans and strategic objectives for the site as well as assisting in the planning and delivery of school, route, special event and charter services at the depot.
  • Maintain good business relationships with all stakeholders and staff and develop a collaborative working relationship (both internally and externally), focusing on excellence in service provision and individual performance.
  • Manage day-to-day staff resource allocations for the depot. This includes maintaining drivers’ rosters through TIMS. Assist your managers to implement cost-effective staffing strategies.

The boxes you'll tick

  • Available for a range of day / night shifts
  • Previous experience in transport, logistics or operations preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • MR Driver's License (preferred or willing to obtain)
  • QLD Drivers Authority (preferred or willing to obtain)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational ability – including the ability to perform under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Demonstrated ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including the ability to utilise integrated software systems (TIMS knowledge is preferable)
