Description
The Apprentice Lead will own the end-to-end process of engaging and supporting the apprenticeship/traineeship and VET programs at Pacific Energy ensuring the success of the programs.
Your role will be required to do the following:
Program Development
- Work with business leaders to design and develop the career Tasting and VET program including mapping out career pathways for trade roles.
- Integration of online platforms for VET students and Apprentices to monitor and report on program progress
- Liaise with schools, education department and Registered Training Organisations on changes to legislation or Department of Education guidelines.
- Build and leverage networks across the VET sector to support the pathways pipeline and build Pacific Energy’s brand
- Develop a schedule for monthly check-ins with Apprentices and quarterly check-ins with Supervisors
- Collaborating with the steering committees, recruitment and key stakeholders to help support the annual intake of VET students and Apprentices.
Program Funding
- Research the availability of additional government funding to assist with meeting the objectives of the education, training, and employment program
- Manage and submit apprentice incentives
- Raise Purchase orders for college fees and books
Reporting
- Create, maintain and keep up to date reports on progress of VET and Apprenticeship programs
- Provide reporting data on monthly basis to supervisors and corporate team on progress of VET students and apprentices
About you:
- Demonstrable experience in similar role with a deep understanding of apprentice programs
- Experience in liaising with registered training organisations, schools and key stakeholders
- Knowledge of apprenticeship regulations, standards, and industry practices
- Familiarity with learning and development principles
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (current)
