About the role

Reporting to: Superintendent State Agreement and Approvals Integration

Location: Perth based

Roster: Full time, Mon – Friday with 3 days in the office

Role Summary

Deliver on State Agreement approvals requirements and work collaboratively with Approvals Subject Matters Experts (SMEs), Approvals Planners, and Project teams to coordinate the early identification of regulatory approvals requirements, develop and maintain Approvals Schedules, support monthly reporting and escalation on approvals delay, and coordinate the internal Permitting process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage State Agreement approvals and compliance for WAIO.
  • Act as central point of contact between Project teams and Approvals SMEs to coordinate the early identification of regulatory approvals requirements and the internal Permitting process.
  • Provide advice to Project teams regarding approvals pathways, risks, and opportunities. Actively manage risks to avoid/mitigate delays through practical problem solving.
  • Develop and maintain approvals schedules in collaboration with Planners and SMEs and support monthly updates and reporting.
  • Identify and manage risks to avoid / mitigate approvals delays through active practical problem solving.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation associated with State Agreement and Approvals Integration tasks.
Essential competencies
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the practical application of WA State regulatory approvals.
  • High level skills in stakeholder engagement and verbal and written communication.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Evidence of managing accurate records and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of the MS Office suite, data systems, ArcGIS, and working with schedules.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic working environment.
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in relevant field (Physical Sciences, Engineering, Urban Planning etc)
