Melbourne Royal is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Technology to provide strategic and operational leadership across our technology function. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team and shape the digital future of a renowned organisation committed to excellence, innovation and community impact.

As the Head of Technology, you will lead a talented in-house team of 10, comprising Developers, Business Analysts, ICT Engineers, and IT Support professionals. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that Melbourne Royal’s digital platforms, systems, infrastructure, and support services effectively enable our strategic objectives.

You will drive modernisation, innovation, and integration across all technology touchpoints—transforming the way we operate and deliver value to our stakeholders. From embedding fit-for-purpose governance frameworks to leveraging data for strategic advantage, you will lead with purpose and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Melbourne Royal’s technology landscape.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary Technology Team.
• Drive digital transformation, modernisation, and integration across platforms and systems.
• Establish and embed governance frameworks to ensure security, compliance, and best practice.
• Enhance operational efficiency and service delivery through innovative technology solutions.
• Align technology investments and initiatives with the organisation’s strategic goals.
• Collaborate with the Executive Team to shape and support Melbourne Royal’s long-term vision.
