As a cook at Werribee Open Range Zoo, each day combines culinary creativity with the excitement of working alongside exotic wildlife. In a bustling kitchen filled with fresh ingredients, you prepare diverse meals and sushi while enjoying the enchanting sights and sounds of the zoo.
The Position
- Contribute innovative menu ideas that highlight fresh, locally inspired ingredients
- Work closely with our dedicated team to craft exciting weekly, monthly, and seasonal specials
- Help monitor and promote allergen and dietary considerations for our guests’ safety
- Be a ‘safety first’ advocate, ensuring you and your team head home in even better shape than when you arrived!
The Person:
- Experience in bulk cooking, whether in a hotel or café setting
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and visually appealing presentations
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanour
- Adaptable to last-minute requests with a cheerful attitude
- Must have reliable transportation
