We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Workday HCM Specialist to join our Workday Enterprise Solutions team in Melbourne Southbank (primary location) or Sydney CBD office on a full-time max term (12 months) basis.

Reporting to the PSC Workday Lead, you will be providing subject matter expertise on key business process decisions within the PSC stream. You will be designing and implementing requirements in Workday HCM, CoreHR, Recruiting, Compensation, Performance, Leave and Absence solutions. Additionally, you will be advising PSC and users on best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation to PSC Business Partners and HR COEs by gathering requirements, offering solutions, and driving change while serving as a subject matter expert on Workday's capabilities

  • Engage in cross-functional resource planning, aligning business priorities with technological opportunities

  • Contribute to evaluation of new releases and functionality for optimisation opportunities, configure and implement business process changes in Workday, and ensure feasibility of system modifications

  • Balance daily system support with strategic enhancements, oversee data governance, security, and compliance, and maintain up-to-date documentation of system functions

  • Develop and lead policy/process training, promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team and with stakeholders and assist in testing integrations and security features

  • Maintain Workday master data values, act as an escalation resource, and perform additional tasks as needed

Your Background

  • Workday experience: CoreHR module is essential, in particular Supervisory Org management, Position and Worker data management. Ideally, experience in Compensation module and at least one additional Workday HCM module

  • Strong understanding of HR operations, including employee data management and experience with HR functions and systems

  • Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with HR stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and IT

  • Detail-oriented with robust relationship building and stakeholder management skills, proven ability to gather information accurately to assess client needs

  • Proficient in prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Proactive, accountable, nimble, and ready to make an impact

The Workday Enterprise Solutions team’s mission is to support the business in its transformation journey through fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders, maintaining a strategic focus, and ensuring alignment with the Workday roadmap.

The team are responsible for ensuring smooth BAU functioning of Workday and addressing and actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. By doing so they empower our business operations, enabling us to derive maximum value from our ERP investment.
