Overview

The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures the delivery of the Quality program’s objectives at an operational level, supporting resilience through improved performance. This role conducts quality reviews across various processes, identifying trends, policy adherence, and improvement areas.

They provide detailed analysis to uncover training needs, process inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities, while working with business units to track the impact of quality initiatives and support the Quality Accreditation Program.

  • Hybrid work – 50% in-office per fortnight
  • Melbourne location only

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

Strategic Focus

  • Analyse and report on business unit quality performance
  • Drive accountability through insights and visibility of results
  • Act as Quality SME and support process improvements
  • Prepare recommendations for policy or procedure enhancements
  • Maintain and promote QA standards and best practices
  • Identify systemic issues and recommend solutions
  • Conduct independent QA reviews and maintain audit records
  • Ensure accurate use of Quality Management Systems

Operational Management

  • Build strong relationships to share best practices
  • Use tools and data to uplift quality processes
  • Participate in QA meetings and workshops
  • Support reporting improvements with stakeholders
  • Promote the QA framework and mentor staff
  • Act as a quality role model across the business

Governance & Risk

  • Identify risks and recommend solutions
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Training teams
  • Support implementation of projects and process changes
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and MUFG standards

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and prioritisation
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement practices
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Visio and Project desirable)
  • Superannuation or financial services experience preferred
  • Business-related tertiary qualification and 3+ years’ experience preferred
  • Knowledge of MUFG systems, policies, and superannuation processes a plus
