THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Technology Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. You will be a key player in expanding our market presence, driving revenue growth, and building strategic partnerships within the technology sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the technology sector, focusing on emerging markets and high-growth areas.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and technology vendors.
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales metrics, analyse performance data, and adjust strategies to maximize results.
- Client Engagement: Actively engage with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative technology solutions that drive business outcomes.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead contract negotiations and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on business goals.
Core Competencies:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support business growth
- Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across your designated territory
- Create and implement strategic territory and account development plans to maximise market coverage
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to generate leads and strengthen partnerships
- Drive performance by consistently achieving revenue targets, growth objectives, and key sales KPIs
- Accurately manage and update sales pipeline data and activities using CRM tools (Salesforce)
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technology sales and managing a broad range of technology services and solutions into various vertical market sectors
- A professional with a strong interest in sales, with a natural curiosity about how businesses operate and scale and solving business problems with a unique and impressive portfolio offering
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and often complex environments
- Proven track record of hitting sales targets, large deal wins and delivering on key performance indicators
- A real peoples person and someone who wats to win awards and recognition and bring a team on the journey
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team and contribute across multiple business areas
- Highly motivated with a results-driven attitude and eagerness to succeed
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Commercially minded with a sharp analytical approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to challenge existing processes and contribute to continuous improvement
