We’re now on the lookout for a reliable and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team and contribute to a smooth and satisfying dining experience for our patrons.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, safely, and to a high standard of quality.
- Monitor food stock and control waste to minimise costs.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized kitchen environment in line with food safety regulations.
- Assist in planning and updating menus, including daily specials.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety standards and procedures.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when required.
- Proven experience as a cook in a pub, bistro, or similar fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.
- Good time management and teamwork skills.
- Trade qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as needed.
