New Turee is an O’Brien family-owned and Nash family-operated cattle breeding, backgrounding, and finishing pastoral company with cattle operations located at Cassilis (“Yarralee”), Woodville (“Stradbroke”) and Coolah (“Old Turee”) in New South Wales.
About the Role
New Turee is currently seeking a compassionate and committed Private Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at the historic “Stradbroke” homestead, located near Woodville, NSW. This rewarding causal position offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference delivering high-quality, person-centred support within a unique and meaningful rural setting.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide tailored care and assistance to an individual living on the station, helping to maintain their independence and quality of life in a familiar and comfortable environment. Flexibility is essential as hours and days of work will vary based on the resident’s evolving needs and preferences.
This role offers flexible shift options, available up to 7 days a week:
· Morning: 8:00am – 12:00pm
· Afternoon: 12:00pm – 4:00pm
· Overnight: 4:00pm onwards
Key Responsibilities:

Provide social companionship and emotional support

Assist with transport to medical appointments, shopping and other outings

Deliver respectful and dignified personal care assistance

Support client with grocery shopping and running errands

Undertake light domestic duties including cleaning and laundry

Prepare and assist with meals as required

Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients, families and healthcare professionals

Maintain accurate records and report any changes or concerns regarding client wellbeing

Foster a warm, trusting and respectful environment at all times

Workplace Health and Safety
· You are required to carry out the duties of your role safely, ensuring you comply with the Workplace Health & Safety Policy as well as the governing legislation in the area where you work.
Experience & Qualifications:
· Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or equivalent)
· Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
· Current Working with Children Check
· National Police Check clearance
· Strong communication skills with the ability to identify and report support needs and risks
· Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing environments
· A genuine passion for supporting others especially the elderly
Desirable Attributes:
· Minimum 12 months experience in a residential, home or community setting aged care setting
· Experience supporting clients living with dementia
· Knowledge of rural or remote care environments
· Experience with manual handling and mobility assistance
· Current drivers licence
