Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ), a branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking a high performing and innovative Senior Business Officer to join its Customer and Regional Services team in Townsville.

In your role as Senior Business Officer, you will be part of a dynamic, diverse and inclusive team that is committed to providing a high standard of business services to support Maritime Safety Queensland to achieve its objectives and outcomes for the Queensland community. You will coordinate and deliver a range of quality business support and administrative activities including other project activities as required.
Some key responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a key role in supporting the coordination and delivery of quality business support functions including procurement, budgetary and financial management, human resource management, workplace health and safety, facilities management, and administration.
- Undertake procurement activities to support the delivery of branch programs and other priorities.
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Assist in the supervision of the business support team including overseeing work priorities and providing guidance and support to team members.
- Develop efficient and effective business processes and monitor performance, providing recommendations to management for business improvement and leading implementation of approved changes.
- Assist in the delivery and coordination of other business management functions and projects as required.
- Undertake a support role for disaster and emergency response activities.
