SERVICE DELIVERY TEAM LEADER

For this position, you'll need to thrive in a busy, fast paced environment, have fantastic interpersonal skills and love collaborating with other divisions to create exceptional client experiences.
You must have excellent administration and computer skills and the ability to work both autonomously as well as collaboratively with management and other departments.
While this position is primarily based in our Cairns office, it does offer variety of also being out in the community and visiting our Supported Independent Living homes.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Undertake assessments and coordinate effective and efficient provision of a range of disability service options in accordance with program funding guidelines

Proactively promoting abbaCare’s business within the community and seeking and expanding on growth and opportunities for the company

Ensure all care plans and risk assessments are up to date

Ensure services are provided so as to adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct and relevant industry legislation
-
Ensure participants within abbaCare's Supported Independent Living are being supported to reach their stated goals and expectations

Work collaboratively with the Rostering Officer and On-Call Personnel on specific rostering and service delivery matters

Support recruitment process for service delivery office staff and support workers throughout selection and interview stages

Assist with staff performance management including reviews, KPI implementation and resolution of performance issues

Promotes a clear vision of quality in services and supports, reviewing and monitoring quality and leading innovation and continuous improvement
Essential Criteria:
-
Certificate III in Community Services or other relevant qualification (or working towards obtaining)

3 years’ experience working in Disability or Community Services sector
-
Demonstrated experience leading a team within disability services, community services or related field
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to engage with staff, participants, and their families

Experience following a person-centred support model to facilitate the development of independence, confidence, self-esteem and social interaction skills in people with disability

Commitment to social justice and inclusion and valuing difference and diversity
-
Being adaptable to changing circumstances and being able to prioritise work
-
Strong organisation and administrative skills including data management, record keeping and reporting
-
Proven ability to complete the required NDIA documentation and reports
-
Demonstrated understanding of disability, mental illness, and the needs of carers
-
Experience engaging with people who may have complex needs and behaviour’s

Knowledge of and experience working within the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Industry Award 2010

Ability to work as part of a team with limited direct supervision

Ability to support and direct staff with tasks as required by management

Ability to analyse information and respond appropriately

High level of oral and written communication skills

Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and advocacy skills

Ability to develop and maintain linkages with a diverse range of service providers and client groups

Be able to manage time and awareness of fatigue

Current immunisations (Hep B, Flu, Whooping Cough)

Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License, and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance

Ability to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and Criminal History Screening (Yellow Card)

NDIS Worker Orientation Module
-
First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Evidence of full COVID vaccination status
-
Registered nursing background highly desirable
