Set in the heart of Surfers Paradise and on the doorstep of the famous Surfers Paradise Beach, The Island Gold Coast boutique hotel is looking for passionate and experienced Chef de Partie / Commis Chef to join our busy team.
This position's roster includes weekend and evening hours.
This is an excellent opportunity for a career minded individual with a strong work ethic, passion for food and excellent communication skills to join this evolving company.
Skills and Experience

Enjoy working in a busy environment with a true passion for cooking.

Follow venue menu planning for preparation and cooking.

Strong knowledge of preparation and presentation.

Confident in filling breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.

A keen eye for detail and a positive and proactive approach

Strong and detailed business acumen for kitchen operations

Proven ability to lead by example and foster a creative and organised environment where team members take pride in their work.

Excellent organisational skills.

Motivated, with a drive to challenge yourself daily and deliver the very best.

Mentor staff and apprentices
Qualifications:
-
At least 3 years experience in a similar role
-
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma / Diploma

3 years relevant experience in a busy restaurant
