Company DescriptionWe are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Industrial Designerto join our Australian Design team. In this role, you will support the quoting, design and production of products from concept through to production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing as well as our business development managers and clients, to turn ideas into functional, aesthetic, and on budget designs. Work with an extensive range of materials from acoustic panel, MDF, timber, metals and composite material.
Job Description
- Translate concepts into manufacturable and practical designs using Solidworks for client specific orders + standard product
- Assist in the creation of product concepts, 3D models, and prototypes/samples
- Aid in the selection of materials and manufacturing techniques suitable for cost, durability, and sustainability goals
- Collaborate with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers to ensure design feasibility
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas
- Maintain documentation and files related to design projects
- Create cut-files required for fabrication in-house and externally
- Assist the team in the expansion of Baresque Group's offerings across our multiple brands
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field
- 0–2 years of professional experience in product or industrial design
- Proficiency in design software such as SolidWorks and Adobe Creative Suites essential
- Understanding or strong interest in materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
