About the role
The City of Sydney has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a casual Lighting Operator at the Sydney Town Hall.
This role is key for the delivery of our Lighting services for events in the Sydney Town Hall and other City Venues, delivering a broad range of expert technical services for concerts and other events and ensuring the provision of high-end technical production service delivery for clients and hirers.
We’re looking for candidates with:
- minimum of 5 years professional technical experience working within the live production, corporate or events industry, preferably within a performing arts venue, convention centre or similar venue
- demonstrated experience for the role including setup, programming and operation of lighting equipment including GrandMA3 consoles, intelligent lighting fixtures, communication protocols – such as DMX, Art-Net, sACN, MA Net and Networking management
- ability to read and interpret production and operational requirements, production schedules and safety plans, ability to work autonomously and effectively manage time, meet deadlines, balance competing priorities under broad direction using judgement to make decisions as required
- working knowledge of current safe work practices and emergency procedures.
