About The Role
We are seeking an Advanced Skills Radiographer to join our Medical Imaging team at our Gold Coast Private Hospital Practice The role is responsible for the delivery of advanced level Medical Imaging clinical services and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team. The team at our Gold Coast Private Hospital practice are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual.
About You
Demonstrated advanced level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in one or more modalities obtained through significant professional development, postgraduate education or formal qualificationsDemonstrated high level of patient care, compassion and clinical awareness, which you promote by exampleApply advanced professional, clinical judgement to complex caseloads, adapting routine clinical practice using valid and reliable evidence based practiceUtilise advanced level skills, knowledge, experience and clinical leadership to manage, prioritise and organise multi work area caseloadWork cooperatively and effectively within the team and actively promote a collegiate approach to problem solving and patient care in a positive work environmentProvide education, competency training and mentorship to promote skill development to other members of the teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional personal presentation
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Clinical Practice
Deliver advanced level medical imaging clinical services across a multi-modality, multidisciplinary team in accordance withprescribed professional and ethical standardsthe established practice and company-wide clinical protocols and policiesthe rostering and service delivery requirements of the practiceDemonstrate and promote by example, a high level of patient care, compassion and clinical awarenessDemonstrate a high level of responsibility, accountability and initiative across all aspects of clinical practice and promote a culture of service excellenceApply advanced professional, clinical judgement to complex caseloads, adapting routine clinical practice using valid and reliable evidence based practiceInitiate the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work areaDemonstrate an advanced level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in one or more modalities obtained through significant professional development, postgraduate education or formal qualifications.Utilise advanced level skills, knowledge, experience and clinical leadership to manage, prioritise and organise multi work area caseload
Communication / Team Participation
Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and actively promote a collegiate approach to problem solving and patient care in a positive work environmentProvide advanced level clinical advice and direction to patients, other health care professionals and clinicians regarding service deliveryDevelop advanced level clinical practice expertise by actively engaging in learning within the team and in professional development activities
Leadership
Monitor and report on clinical practice outcomes and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement within area of expertiseParticipate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the service delivery in line with recognised organisational pathwaysProvide clinical practice supervision to students involved in clinical placements and less experienced staffProvide education, competency training and mentorship to promote skill development to other members of the teamBe recognised as a resource for clinical advice and consultation within the area of expertiseWhere required, be able to perform higher duties in area of expertise during periods of absence of the relevant modality senior
Safety and Quality
Apply to clinical practice, the standards set by the mandatory Queensland X-ray quality and safety training modules and policiesPromote, by example, responsibility and accountability for a clean and safe work environmentReport equipment faults and issues to appropriate supervisors and manage repairs as required
