About the Role
The primary role of a TAFE SA Hourly Paid Instructor (HPI) is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives.
We are seeking a dynamic Hourly Paid Instructor to join our team on a casual hourly-paid basis. This role focuses on delivering high-quality training and assessment within the Automotive program, with a particular emphasis on Outdoor Power Equipment, small engines, mowers, chain saws and trimmers. The successful candidate will leverage their industry expertise to support students through flexible delivery methodologies.

Selection Criteria
- Minimum Certificate III in a relevant industry trade qualification (or equivalent).
- Current trade technical skills and knowledge in automotive area.
- Must hold an RTO approved Training and Assessment qualification of TAE40116 or later.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
- The Hourly Paid Instructor (HPI) is engaged on an hourly paid basis. Maximum engagement is 400 hours per calendar year.
- Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
- May be required to facilitate at several campuses within TAFE SA.
- This role requires flexibility around timetabling.
