We are seeking Senior Network & Security Engineers to support, maintain, and secure the Ambulance Victoria Business Technology Programs Network, Voice and Security environments. We are recruiting for both a full time, permanent position and full time, fixed term position (ending June 2027). While WFH/Hybrid options are accessible and available to all employees, it is essential that the successful applicants maintain a presence at our Blackburn North Business Centre in line with our hybrid working model.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Network & Communications, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Comply with BTP standards, policies and guidelines to continuously improve standards of service and adherence to legislative requirements
- Ensure adherence to change control policies and procedures for all activities associated with systems engineering and administration
- Architect highly available networks to provide reliable uptime and maintenance ability
- Maintain and support BTP Network, Security, Voice and Video activities
- Implement new complex network, voice and security solutions as part of the Ambulance Victoria strategic BTP Roadmap, involving vendor and customer engagement as required
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess:
- Postgraduate degree in business, technology, computing or equivalent or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high-level relevant experience
- Cisco Certified Network Professional or equivalent qualification
- ITIL v3 foundation certification
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – desirable
- Thorough understanding of Networking Technology and Hardware
