At the Workplace Injury Commission, we've helped thousands of injured workers and employers to resolve their disputes and move forward with their lives. We're a robust Victorian Government statutory authority that's making an impact.
We are continuing on an exciting journey of growth, and are looking for x2 Team Manager's for the Client Services team. One role is for a backfill for parental leave, and the other role is newly created due to growth.
As a Team Manager you will lead and develop the Client Services Team to deliver high-quality first-line customer service to the Workplace Injury Commission's clients and stakeholders. This role oversees reception, phone and mail; along with the accurate registration of conciliation applications and the allocations of conciliation conferences with internal and external stakeholders.
You play a key role as a leader of the initial experience that injured workers receive when lodging an application for Conciliation through to in-office experience provided for conferences and hearings. Harnessing your leadership experience you will set the standard in providing professional and empathetic service delivery whilst coaching a high performing team through the delivery of simple, seamless, accurate and timely services.
Along with your capability to coach for growth and create clarity, you will utilise your well-developed interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to build effective working partnerships across all levels and contribute to a collaborative environment.
Importantly, through proactively identifying continuous improvements that enhance the client and people experience you will contribute to change and influence others within the team to embrace the change and cultural transformation of WIC.
Who we're looking for:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience creating a high performing team through building trust and belonging, shared purpose and goals, coaching and empowering and holding teams to account.
- Proven success identifying continuous improvements and leading initiatives to improve operating efficiencies, productivity, quality, customer service or people experience.
- Leadership capability to coach for growth, create clarity, build connection and lead in context to develop and sustain individual and team high performance to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
- Able to champion change and build commitment of others to adopt new ways of working and behaving and drive a climate of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise in a professional and sensitive level with a diverse internal and external client/stakeholder group.
