About the Role
The Family Violence Respondent Practitioner performs a critical role that is integral to the Court's response to Family Violence. In this role, you will utilise your skills and knowledge of family violence to provide non-legal information, support and referral for people who are respondents to an application for an intervention order or involved in criminal proceedings arising from or including allegations of family violence. Through single session engagements with Respondents, you will play a key role in making referrals to behaviour change interventions. This includes conducting eligibility assessments and providing recommendations for Mandated Counselling Orders.

About You
* Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in a related therapeutic discipline such as social work, psychology, or social sciences, and demonstrated experience and knowledge of Family Violence including drivers, risks and issues that can exacerbate family violence risk.
* Sound skills in the provision of support, crisis containment and risk assessment as well as a demonstrated ability to promote Respondent accountability and identify and work against collusion.
