About the Role
Are you passionate about building capability and supporting learning across a vital emergency service? CFA is seeking a Coordinator – Learning and Development (State-wide Training) to help shape and deliver impactful training programs across Victoria.
In this role, you'll design, implement and evaluate training initiatives that enhance the capability of CFA voluntary members and support the sustainability and effectiveness of brigades. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external training providers to ensure consistent, high-quality training experiences that meet the evolving needs of our organisation. Applicants must have Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent and an understanding of the arrangements, standards and environment of an RTO.
Key responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement state-wide training plans that meet CFA capability needs.
- Coordinate logistics, resources, and materials for training programs, maintaining clear communication with internal teams and external providers.
- Monitor and evaluate training activities, including data analysis, reporting on delivery performance, and implementing evaluation processes to support continuous improvement.
- Manage training records, resource inventories, and data entry in the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.
- Support RTO and statutory compliance requirements, including financial processing and adherence to CFA policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership to administration staff to maintain service standards and ensure effective support for training delivery.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent and an understanding of the arrangements, standards and environment of an RTO.
- Well-developed written communication skills to develop reports & correspondence and to convey training information and objectives to internal & external customers.
- Proven administrative skills and experience including word processing, spread sheets and ability to utilise a variety of enterprise-wide systems and applications.
- A contemporary understanding of competency-based learning & development business practices
- Proven ability to manage numerous, varied and concurrent projects within budget, quality and time parameters.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a (virtual) team
