The City of Parramatta Council is seeking a dynamic Brand Advisor to champion and evolve our brand strategy, ensuring a consistent and compelling presence across all touchpoints. About this Role

As the Brand Advisor, you will be the guardian of the City of Parramatta’s brand identity, working across departments and with external partners to elevate our brand equity. You’ll lead initiatives that bring our brand to life, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and community values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategic brand initiatives that enhance the visibility and reputation of Council and the City of Parramatta.
  • Providing expert advice and direction on brand application to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Managing the implementation of the City Marketing Strategy from a brand perspective.
  • Developing tools, systems, and processes to support brand adoption and consistency.
  • Acting as the “Brand Champion” to ensure adherence to brand guidelines across all Council activities.
  • Collaborating with creative teams and agencies to deliver high-quality brand assets.
  • Evaluating brand performance through research and annual brand tracking studies.
  • Supporting city and destination marketing campaigns and contributing to long-term brand planning.
  • Managing budgets and contributing to the continuous improvement of brand policies and practices.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and stakeholder engagement skills. You are a confident communicator, a collaborative team player, and a proactive problem-solver.

You’ll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in branding, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in brand strategy development and implementation.
  • Proven ability to manage brand in complex environments such as government or large organisations.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, resource coordination, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders.
  • Experience working with brand and creative agencies.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong internal and external networks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • A proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

What’s on offer
We are offering an attractive remuneration starting from $125,669 plus 11.5% superannuation.
