  • Salary ranges from $97,027 to $107,059 plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
The Training Advisor plays a key role in supporting the delivery of vocational education and training (VET) programs and services to apprentices, trainees, employers, and the broader community.

About you
This position involves working closely with stakeholders to provide guidance, support, and advice that ensures quality outcomes in training and assessment. Your work will contribute to the successful development of skilled individuals and the growth of industry capability through effective training pathways.

The preferred candidate will:

  • Bring a proactive, results-driven approach and the ability to make a positive contribution quickly.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Have the ability to maintain a current understanding about vocational education and training in a setting that is continuously changing.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
  • Current driver's licence and a willingness to travel.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

  1. The Training Advisor directly engages Stakeholders including Employers, Apprentices/Trainees and Registered Training Organisation.   2. Describe a recent work situation that required you to perform several tasks, or work on several projects at the same time. What did you do? (300 words max)
