About the team
TestSafe Australia is a commercial business unit of SafeWork NSW, within the Department of Customer Service. The Thornleigh site provides a wide range of chemical analyses in the work health and safety area that is of a world class standard.
We have a great opportunity for a Commercial Business Assistant to join us and be responsible for the delivery of a range of high-level administrative services to support the efficient and effective operation of the team.
You will provide a broad range of high-level administrative services and functions which will include:
- Providing reception services for those visiting the site
- Switchboard operation
- Word processing and data entry
- Completion of standard financial /purchasing / invoicing transactions
- Preparation of correspondence, templates, reports, agendas and minutes of meetings
- Compiling and sending reports.
- Photocopying, scanning and ordering materials
To be successful in this role, the successful applicant will:
- Have demonstrated previous experience in a similar role
- Have a can-do attitude, happy to help with all required general administrative tasks to assist the team
- Have a strong eye for detail with a focus on quality output
- Be experienced in the SAP or similar systems
- Have demonstrated previous experience with invoicing
Key challenges
- Prioritising tasks and requests for information, in a high volume working environment, ensuring timeframes are met.
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, policies and procedures in order to provide accurate information on a range of enquiries relevant to the functions of the team/business unit.
