About the Role

The new Bargaining and Legal Strategy team within the Industrial Relations branch is looking for their next Senior Business Analyst . This is an opportunity to influence workforce policy at a strategic level.

As our new Senior Business Analyst, Bargaining and Legal Strategy , you will play a key role in shaping the future of workforce pay and conditions across the NSW public sector. This is a unique opportunity to apply your analytical expertise in a high-impact environment, where your insights will inform decisions that affect thousands of employees.

In this role, you will contribute to workforce strategy by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive effective bargaining and policy outcomes. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and precision, working closely with senior decision-makers to refine analytical frameworks and influence wage-setting strategies.

We're Looking For

  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, and Power BI for data modelling and forecasting
  • Workforce Analytics: Experience evaluating pay structures and employment conditions to inform decision-making
  • Dashboard & Reporting: Expertise in creating clear, actionable dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Data Accuracy: Strong focus on data validation and quality assurance to ensure integrity and reliability
  • Strategic Insight: Ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for policy and strategy
  • Project Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and refine outputs.

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10. Package includes base salary ($125,693 - $138,510) plus superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
